JOB TITLE:  Facilities Utility Support 
REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager 
Facilities Utility Support performs aspects of building support for the Funko distribution center facility including materials recycling, operational support, refuse and general maintenance assistance as required. 
What You’ll Do 
This role may include, but not limited to the following functions:    
  • Starts up, maintains, and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.
  • Provide support service of collecting and baling used corrugate using baling equipment.
  • Complete required general warehouse housekeeping duties in all assigned areas.
  • Maintains tools and maintenance equipment in an orderly fashion and in a safe operating state.
  • Use of powered industrial trucks for refuse collection and disposal by means of operating compactors.
  • Use of drivable floor scrubber to maintain clean floors in the distribution center.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to maintain a clean and safe working environment, identify potential problems and to request team member’s feedback.
  • Follows established safety and environmental guidelines and procedures for all work performed. Immediately reports safety and environmental incidents including injuries, illnesses, near misses, and safety suggestions. Fosters a positive safety culture to promote injury prevention.
  • Assist Maintenance Technicians as required.
  • Actively participates in all continuous improvement training sessions.
  • Performs other facilities-related duties as required.
  • Operates shredding machine for disposal of product.
  • May be required to meet the needs of the business by performing/supporting work or working in other areas/departments and performing functions that are beyond the scope of your role
  • Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring 
Required:    
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to stand for a full shift (8, 10 or 12 hours)
  • Ability to understand written, electronic, and verbal instructions/directions.
  • Flexibility to work any shift, any area/department, and support/perform other functions/roles beyond the scope of your regular job duties in a multi-shift one building operation
  • Ability and passion to learn new fulfillment/production methodology – absorb new information and concepts quickly
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency required to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be a positive, enthusiastic, results-oriented individual able to work collaboratively with smart, fun, and active team members.
  • Initiative to work with minimal instruction or direction, be a “self-starter”
Experience/Training/Education/Certification: 
  • One or more years of experience in a distribution center environment
  • High school diploma or GED preferred with consideration based on relevant work experience
  • Reach Truck/Forklift Certification
Work Environment    
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, bend up/down and twist their upper body, and squat/stoop, step or kneel. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
  • The employee must frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally pull large pallets of product up to 60 pounds or with a lift truck weighing up to 525 pounds.
